IP
Core Planning Specialist (Team Lead) is responsible to lead a team of
engineers for IP/MPLS Core network. Forecast, plan and design IP/MPLS
Core network expansions and upgrades. Ensures timely execution of all
projects.
Experience Required:
- At least 5 years relevant Working experience on IP/MPLS Core network in leading role. The candidate must have operational and planning experiences. At least two years planning experinece is mandatory.
- Working exprience on Cisco MPLS Core Network will be prefered with ZTE experience as Bonus
Responsibilities:
- To mange team of IP Core experts managing Carrier Grade IP/MPLS Core Network planning.
- To engage team on traffic dimensioning according to user departments inputs received.
- Assign tasks and projects and share expertise during the projects.
- To ensure best network design practices and utilization of vendor experiences.
- Setup Planning guidelines, update quarterly and ensure practice.
- Quarterly analysis of user department's inputs and forecast network requirements accordingly.
- Coordinating with Vendors for customizing solutions and evaluation.
- Ensuring IP Security Best Practices
- Timely generating RFQ, vendor evaluations and solution finalization.
- To ensure timely hardware ordering and comply forecasted capitalization.
- To ensure timely generation of WO's.
- To complying Company Quality policy as per TL9000.
- Ensure compliance to standard processes and refinement of processes to address new changes.
Knowledge Areas:
- Excellent Understanding and Experience of Service provider IP/MPLS converged Core network Technologies, architectures and Protocols.
- Detailed Understanding of Traffic Engineering and challenges of broadband mobile network.
- Detailed understanding of international standards defined by IETF or other standard bodies.
- Strong Knowledge and experience about design of MPLS Core Network Design standard and guidelines.
- Strong Knowledge and experience on Routing, Switching, Security and Network Management Technologies, Architectures and Protocols
- Strategic vision of the IP network evolution
- Experience with IP network and convergence of competing data networks
- Any Understanding of Mobile network components like R4, PS, CS, LDI etc shall be Bonus.
- Strong People Management Skills
- Leadership and motivation Skills
- Strong Project Management Skills
- Communication Skills in English (Verbal and Written)
- Presentation Skills
- Strong Working experience on Microsoft Office Applications
