To Manage systems, DB and data centre infrastructure and ensure high standards of availability and quality

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overall management and operations of IT infrastructure operations including high, medium & low end server systems, enterprise level data storages hosting business critical information systems and applications, and highly available datacenter operations
- Owner of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the function and IT infrastructure (systems, storages, databases, datacenters) performance falling within the managerial domain. Responsible for effective implementation, monitoring/tracking, reporting and improving of KPIs.
- Responsible for Data Center capacity planning and operations management including tasks' assignment and control
- Providing key interface to internal customers for identifying IT infrastructure requirements, developing functional specifications and initiating new projects for fulfilling requirements
- Seeking and obtaining sponsorships and budget commitments, including cost (Capex/Opex) approvals for new and ongoing initiatives.
- To drive Operational efficiency and cost optimization initiatives within his own area.
- Project Management including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control and closing.
- Performing project post mortems and post-implementation analyses for benefit/value tracking and lessons learnt.
- Providing administrative management of three teams allocated to the Data Center, Computer Systems & Databases sections.
- Responsible for recruiting (internally or externally), training/grooming, leading, motivating and maximizing utilization, efficiency and effectiveness of required and assigned/available resources.
- Providing a key interface for organizational interactions to senior management and other functional units such as Finance, Human Resources, and other technology units etc.
- Responsible for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the IT processes and interactions both internally within the function as well as externally with all interfacing entities in the organization
