The
Test resource will be responsible for testing new and existing SOA
based systems to perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control of the
released artifacts. The test team must work in close cooperation with
the business team and the development team to ensure the quality of
service.
The candidate will be an experienced testing resource with strong technical background. We look for candidates with proven track-records within quality assurance and software testing. Experience in testing Oracle middleware services along with leading test teams and implementing testing methodology across the projects is a mandatory requirement. Any experience related to IT Infrastructure Library will be valuable. So will hands-on experience with performance tuning and testing.
Responsibilities:
Involve in early phase of project in order to quality assure testability of requirement specifications.
Evaluate existing Test environments and give input to Project Manager if any changes are required in it.
Follow up and make sure that correct software versions, infrastructure and configuration are set up in time before testing is planned to start
Set up project in Quality center, including Test Plan and interpret requirements into system test-cases in Quality center.
Organize test work and delegate test cases, guide and motivate the test team
Participate in hands on testing when required.
Define entry and exit criteria for System test, Acceptance test and Go Live, and get it confirmed by the major stakeholders.
Involve Service manager for relevant product, in order to prepare for proper handover to Operations after deployment.
Validate test cases with project stake holders, super users, project manager and development.
Request test cases and test report from development team and evaluate them accordingly.
Validate the need of test data and take relevant actions to secure that test data are in place in time.
Request release notes and system documentation from development before system test starts up.
Present test results from relevant test phase according to predefined entry/exit criteria in the meeting. Generate minutes of meeting based on entry/exit criteria and facts that has been evaluated and discussed in the meeting.
Coordinate all deployment to the different platforms with Operations through the service desk, and also ensuring communication and commitments from involved parties.
Handover test reports after Smoke test, System documentation, release notes and service requirements to Operations and Service manager in cooperation with Project manager.
Knowledge Areas:
Documented track record of direct experience as a test manager for major application integration and/or major application product releases
Strong knowledge of system testing and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
Organizational skills to manage a wide array of testing information
Hands on experience with HP Quality Center
IS/IT Service and operations experience.
Have good communication skills and proficiency in English
Strong team player, with the ability to contribute to team efforts and look for "Best-of-bread" solutions
Strong technical skills, yet able to communicate in non-technical terms
Structured and self driven
Solution and task oriented with focus on deliverables
Capable of meeting deadlines while ensuring quality
Should be able to handle heavy work load effectively and efficiently
Be able to work under pressure in a challenging environment
Ability to travel frequently and over extended periods.
