The Operational Excellence Manager will play a key leadership role in streamlining internal processes and operations across the Group and its subsidiaries.  In this role, you will be responsible for developing a performance culture that uses facts and data to drive business decisions and customer value.

Basic Function & Scope of Job:
  • Develop and implement Operational Excellence (OE) initiatives and programs to promote and strengthen our OE culture
  • Engage with executive-level business leaders to set priorities and drive results
  • Identify and lead OE projects to drive business improvements across the Group, enhancing revenue and profitability, reducing cycle time and cost while boosting customer satisfaction
  • Implement best practices and techniques to ensure operational excellence of all processes related to supply chain, inventory management, manufacturing, procurement, customer service and sales
  • Provide training and project coaching to project teams using Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methodologies and tools
  • Mentor junior OE team members in the successful completion of their Lean Six Sigma certifications and prepare them for OE leadership and/or business leadership roles within Alghanim
 
Education & Years of Experience & Qualifications:
  • Graduation degree from a recognised university
  • An MBA or a degree in engineering, financial, or other technical program would be an advantage
  • 10-12 years of post-qualification experience
  • Certified Black Belt and/or Master Black Belt in Lean and/or Six Sigma from a company with a history of developing and mentoring process improvement talent
  • Extensive process improvement experience in continuous improvement, process re-engineering or statistical process control
  • Extensive project management experience, including managing and motivating a team of diverse professionals in a multi-national environment
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, people management and influencing skills, with evidence of driving change initiatives at the senior level
  • Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written
  • Effective communicator of OE concepts at all levels: from the shop floor to the boardroom
  • Fluency in the Arabic language would be an asset
  • Domain experience in any of the Alghanim core businesses or functions would be an asset: Retail, Automotive Sales and Service, Manufacturing, Wholesale Distribution, Supply Chain, Finance & Credit, etc.

No direct reports, but the incumbent will lead and mentor employees across many different businesses.
